Macro pictures : eyes, butterfly wings...
Macro photography, or macrophotography, is the term used to describe all photographic techniques and activities that capture images of small subjects and enlarge them. It is therefore a field of photography where the subject is larger than its actual size. Its most common subjects are insects, spiders and flowers, but it can be used in a wide variety of fields such as watchmaking, mechanics and philately. It is a field where you can give free rein to your imagination.
Macro photography brings about a radical change in perspective. It allows you to leave the world you are familiar with and reveal another, unknown world. You then discover surprising details in environments that are seemingly mundane. Less maintained natural spaces are home to interesting subjects. Butterfly wings, eyes, insect shells… offer a whole universe of iridescent, metallic colours… I couldn’t pass up this beautiful source of inspiration and had to explore a whole fascinating world that is not visible to the naked eye.
